Interested in Attending a U. S. Service Academy?

Washington, May 17, 2013 -

Each year, I have the honor of nominating a select group of students for admission to four of the U.S. Service Academies, including the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Our nation’s Service Academies prepare college-age Americans to be officers of the United States armed services.  Upon graduation, Service Academy graduates are commissioned as officers in the active components of their respective branch of service for a minimum of five years.

Due to the number of qualified students who apply each year, securing a congressional nomination is highly competitive. Current high school juniors or incoming seniors residing in the 31st District interested in attending a U. S. Service Academy for the 2014-2015 academic school year (Class of 2018) must submit their nomination application to my Rancho Cucamonga District Office by November 1, 2013. For more information about the Service Academies, how to prepare and how to apply, please visit my website or contact my District Office staff at (909) 980-1492.
