Deadline for Entering Artistic Discovery Competition is April 15th

Washington, Apr 12, 2013 -

I would like to remind all high school students in the 31st Congressional District interested in this year’s Artistic Discovery Congressional Art Competition that submissions must be received by my Rancho Cucamonga office by 5pm on Monday, April 15, 2013. Each student may submit one original piece of artwork for judging. The first place winner will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building, and will receive two round-trip tickets to attend a special reception in Washington, D.C.

This year, residents of the District will have the opportunity to select their favorite “Best of Theme” entry, which will be displayed in the Rancho Cucamonga office. This year’s theme is “Beauty of the Inland Empire.” Entries for “Best of Theme” will be available for viewing on my Facebook page, with voting open from 5:00 pm on April 17th to 5:00 pm on April 19th.  The winning entries will be announced at a special awards presentation on Saturday, April 20th.  Students, parents, teachers, and friends are encouraged to attend:
